My philosophy is simple. I want to challenge each student with the high expectation of a solid curriculum and provide a learning environment that prepares students for college and future careers. Students will always be encouraged to be contributing members of the community, and to cultivate local ecological as well as global responsibilities. I know each student possess a degree of self dignity and value, and will always be given the opportunity to earn respect and right to express themselves. My students will have a safe and comfortable environment in which to learn. I understand that learning styles of my students will differ and I will always evaluate strategies to address these differences. My students will learn best through active engagement in cooperative activities that encourage and develop problem solving skills. Their reading, writing, and technology proficiency is essential of moral and intellectual growth. My students will earn opportunities for self guided regulated inquiry. I sincerely commit that with this philosophy, students will fully develop responsibility for their world, their community, their family, and themselves.
